Mark Anthony was born in England and moved to Canada at the age of 3.
Living in Nova Scotia, Mark was brought up in a home where music was everywhere, with his mother singing while she worked around the house, to his father playing the mandolin and banjo in his spare time when he wasn’t working at his job in the navy. Music was always flowing from the living room stereo, with Mark spinning the tunes himself, which was mainly Elvis Presley, the Beatles, and anything else 50’s and 60’s related he could get his hands on.
Mark received his first guitar at the age of 12 for his birthday, and from there it was no turning back!
Forming a band early in his high school years, Mark performed his first major auditorium concert at school, in a rock band called Sentry, in Montreal, which is where the family had moved to in his teenage years. From there Mark went on to continuing to write his own music (he started writing the very first day he received his first guitar, at age 12), and playing various venues in the Montreal area.
After relocating back to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Mark then continued to play in pop and rock bands, and also landed a gig in a popular dinner theater, where he played guitar and sang on a weekly basis.
Mark continues to write and record to this day, and is currently focusing on adding to his musical repertoire on a daily basis.
